Cornerstone Church

While the ladies seem respectful, Pastor Jason or whatever his name is, that's a different story. If y'all are gonna call this a church of God, this is a very judgemental place. Pastor Jason says while I just recently found a home last week and wanting to see if they was going to help with deposits and since I would have half, he immediately said that I don't save money, looking for handouts and that I pretty much don't know how to spend money "wisely". What a waste of my time. Church of God, we love helping people? Please.

I came to your church when I was in the area and truly felt God and so loved by the staff I enjoyed the people and the message I joined the church and ended up out of the area now my wife and I go as much as possible its right at 2 hrs but we always enjoy our time in marion and so enjoy the service on line thank you for loving us and all the blessings.. we love you and our church. Southern Illinois is a better place with CORNERSTONE CHURCH!!!

Me and my husband was referred to this church organization for financial assitance. I called and spoke with a lady name Gayle. I explain to her our situation. We were homeless and sleeping in our truck. We needed gas money. And we ask for assistance for housing. I was hired at wal-mart few weeks ago. And we are paid bi weekly. I really feel we were denied service because we are Black. I believe this place to racist. I feel Gayle could have help but didn't. She made us fill out a lengthy application and no one never returned our call. For this to be a church of God it sure doesn't seem like it. Me and my husband did get financial help and we now have apartment. I just wanted to letpeople know of the unfair treatment of this place. o

I haven’t attended a service at Cornerstone and probably never will. I’m not a fan of mega churches. The reason I’m giving a low rating is because there was a woman who gave me a very bad impression, so this is a review mostly of her being the first face of the church. I was running through Marion doing errands and needed to use the restroom. I despise public bathrooms and thought that perhaps Cornerstone would at least have a clean, uncrowded one I could use. I parked my car and walked up. There was the woman and a seemingly homeless man talking in the doorway. I politely asked if I could use the restroom. The inquisitive little hen of a woman pondered for a moment then asked me my name, which I gave her assuming that would get me in the door. She then proceeded to motion towards the Pilot gas station across the street and said “I’m sure they have bathrooms, go there.” The point I’m trying to make with this overly elaborate review is; if you can’t lead a member of the community to the bathroom, how can you expect to lead them to the Kingdom of God. I left very disappointed, and used the disgusting facilities at Pilot. I don’t take pleasure in besmirch a church I’ve never attended, but it wasn’t a very amicable or Christ-like first impression.
